Piazza Tasso B&B - Sorrento

Sorrento'nun tam merkezinde. Tren istasyonuna, otobus duragina ve feribot iskelesine cok yakin. 50 mt ilerisinde buyuk bir market var oradan tum ihtiyaclarinizi karsilayabilirsiniz. Cevresinde cok guzel bar/restaurantlar var. Gün batimini izleyeceginiz seyir terasina da cok yakin. Capri, Possitano, Amalfi, Pompei, Napoli turlari yapacaksaniz tum ulasim araclarina yakin oldugundan avantajli. Odalar temiz. Kahvalti yeterli.

The superior room was spacious and had a balcony overlooking the main road. Also, the location was good being close to the main square Piazza Tasso. The lady in charge of cleaning was also very nice and kind, unlike the owners of the B&B.

The flush of the bathroom was not working and making continous loud noise even at night due to the unconventional (and old) sanitary system in the B&B. The owner (Mr. Yuri) was extremely impolite and greedy such that when we wanted to leave the B&B due to the flush not working, he offered us a much smaller room for the same high price without any reimbursement and when we didn't accept this and wanted to check-out, he wanted us to pay for the second night that we didn't stay. After a 1.5 hour-discussion and waiting for the invoice coming from the other hotel, we left the B&B with a ruined holiday mood and will never ever come back again. There are much more economic 4-star hotels 5 more minutes down the street with proper buffet breakfast (instead of a croissant, some bread & jam, and 1 cup of tea or coffee), a lift to carry luggages, a proper sanitary system, a swimming pool and a lobby where you can reach in case of any problems. This was the first time we met such inhospitable and unkind behavior in a hotel or B&B - I hope the owners take this feedback and try to improve their behavior towards their guests.

I had had a bad experience in Rome proir to coming to Piazzo Tasso, and had some things stolen, so I was a little leary. The staff were very accomodating, comforting, helpful, and friendly!! They renewed my trust in the Italian people with their kindness!

The first night we were there, there was not any hot water, so we took cold showers, but I think that since we had arrived very late, they had forgotten to turn on the hot water heater. The second night, we had hot water.

Amazing location in centre of Sorrento, staff were very accomodating and friendly.

We stayed only a couple of nights, we checked in at the sister hotel and the owner who met us there was really helpful (and spoke fluent English), she gave us maps and advice on what to do in Sorrento and walked us round to the b&b which was round the corner. We had the double balcony room and one of them looked over Piazza Tasso square and the balcony was big enough to sit out in the evenings and people watch. The room was nice, big round bed and good size, the plumbing was a bit noisy as per other reviews I read but it stopped quickly and was not a problem. Room is sound proofed too so no noise at night when the doors shut. The location was perfect for Sorrento centre, close to the port and the old town and station, great base for a few days. The room was a bit overpriced for what it was, the tv was not lcd as advertised by this website (plus we got no reception on it) and the breakfast consisted of a croissant and coffee in the ice cream parlour downstairs, However great location and a handy spot to explore from.

The room was on the corner with a marvelous view of both the piazza and a small part of the sea. We were worried that it would be noisy but the shutters, and two sets of doors make it extremely quiet even with all the city activity. The room size was quite nice having two balconies was great. We liked the easy access to everything in town within walking distance. The owner was wonderful and very helpful in recommending places to go - there is a phone on site to reach the owner if any need arises. All in all, our stay for 4 nights was very pleasant.

We have never stayed in a round bed and that was a bit unusual but just not our preference. Because the building is historic, you have to be careful to keep the balconies looking good for pictures which makes sense. It was a bit cumbersome to close the shutters each night but was well worth the peace and quiet they provided. Our room needed a bit of TLC when we arrived - toiletries left behind, hair in the bathroom and such but seemed ok as the week went on. The breakfast provided is across the piazza - just a short walk but very average food and service. I think they were exhausted from so many tourists.

Excllent location for centre of Sorrento,right by the main square and the old streets and acess to the marina.Also the station for Naples and Pompei and buses for Amalfi etc nearby. Tasteful clean and tidy rooms and excellent value for money. Also had air con. Staff were were very friendly and helpful on arrival. We would definitely stay here again.

The owners were wonderful. I got sick the first day in Sorrento and had to be hospitalized for 10 days. We were only planning to be there a day and a half. My neice, who I was traveling with did not speak Italian, but Sylvania helped her with finding places to stay and things to do each day. She also helped us with our final transportation to Rome. A true Italian friend.

Be prepared for steps.

Good location, breakfast is provided at a cafe across from the hotel and a good base to go from to see the Amalfi Coast, Capri, Pompeii and Herculaneum. Silvana and her husband very helpful and friendly, nothing a problem for them.

Location location location! Everything you need was on the doorstep from restraunts chemist and a church! Only a short walk to the coastal paths and the magnificent views of the sorrento coast. Although you are on a main piazza the room was quite sound proof at night . Staff were very accommodating .

It could be difficult to find as its not well signed. You do have to go to a sister hotel to get the key which could cause some travellers a problem although it's close by . I speak Italian but there are enough locals who speak English to help with directions.

the cleanliness was not satsfactory,the more so the rooms have recently been appointed.

Great location - right in the heart of city center, it feels so nice to sit at the balcony at the evenings with a glass of wine and looking at the people. You can't see a sea because of trees and buildings, so it is definitely not a sea view, but the great view anyway. Very nice balcony.

Very poor design - I mean, nice bed and wardrobe, but really ugly curtains, and chairs with a plastic on it. And there were like 2 folding beds in our room, which were not requested. Air conditioner used to weep. Bad breakfast in the cafe in front of the hotel.

Incredible location, beautiful room and very friendly/helpful staff. It is the best location in Sorrento - you are right in the heart of Piazza Tasso. From the balcony we were able to see the main square and several of the surrounding restaurants. It was a very relaxing way to sit on the balcony and enjoy a wine whilst enjoying the view. The room itself was beautifully finished with a very nice bathroom, it was also very quiet. The hotel owner and staff were very friendly, they gave great tips for restaurants and even helped us organize a return train trip to Naples. We had such a great time in Sorrento and our room at the Piazza Tasso b&b added so much to the experience.

Not one single complaint - if we ever return we know where we will be staying!

Centrally located in the heart of Sorrento.

Checking in is complicated: you have to first go to Hotel Palazzo Tazzo and then they take you to the b@B. We did not get a receipt of payment,even though we requested one several times. The room was noisy and spacious, but bathroom not very clean and beds were hard. Not romantic in any way. Chandelier had one bulb that worked. Breakfast is served in a bar on a square close by, which is not convenient.

Location.Very nice people in Sorrento.
